Scarlet the color of......

From time to time I will be writing about the colors. They are one of the ancient used healing elements along with spirit, herbs, shape, and numbers. The colors have the potential energy to help in healing.

We started with the end of summer, through autumn colors, now as we go for winter when the colors start to darken. It starts with the Scarlets, continues to the reds, and ends with the purples. This is the time of strength, maturity, harvest energy and courage. In autumn we need the performance of physical strength.

So now we start with the scarlet color crystals that give us the natural sources of energy to enjoy life’s pleasures that extend past the joyfulness of youth. It's the color that symbolizes courage, victory, and success. The positive associations of scarlet, which is a bright red tending toward orange, can be found in the Garnet, Ruby and Agate gemstones.

In publications and on the web, the color scarlet attracts attention when used sparingly.

In Eastern cultures, such as China, red is the color for good luck. Although times are changing and many Chinese brides now wear white, it is traditionally the color for weddings. In Indian culture, it symbolizes purity and is often used in their wedding gowns.
